Studio 21 is an inclusive performance festival bringing together numerous bands, immersive performances and a diverse programme of musical workshops. The festival is curated by the RambaZamba Theater, which has been working with artists with disabilities for over 30 years. In cooperation with Pop-Kultur 2021, we want Studio 21 to be an outstanding stage for the diversity of inclusive musicians.

From 25 to 28 August 2021, the festival showcases inclusive bands that are an incredible asset for the contemporary music scene. This year our guests are blind & lame, Stille Vann, Dain Fadinzt, Wild Classical Music Ensemble and 21 downbeat. At Pop-Kultur we also welcome back the godfathers of inclusive rock Station 17 and the Belgian hip hop band Choolers Division.

Besides the concerts, the immersive club Studio 21 will form the beating heart of the festival. A club that even the club capital Berlin has never seen before. A club which is managed and run by people with disabilities in all the key roles: the bouncer, the DJane, the bar staff. In addition there will be a programme of music workshops for musicians with disabilities. These best practice modules are led by artists who have long-standing experience in the inclusive music scene.

The opening event of Studio 21 is the premiere of Molière’s comedy »The Imaginary Invalid” on 20 August 2021. Under Jacob Höhne’s direction, this theatre classic is a musical, an inclusical, a pop opera, about glowing love and laughing death.
